For packing operations that need material cut to different lengths or applied as part of an existing process. Roll film allows the covering length to follow the goods being packed, rather than requiring a separate pre-made cover for every load.

Specify the film format, usable width, thickness and roll requirements. If the material will run through equipment, include the core diameter, maximum roll diameter and feeding arrangement.

Pallet Top Sheets

Cover the exposed top of a palletised load during storage and handling. Top sheets can be used with a suitable stretch-wrapping process when the sides are wrapped but the top also needs a cover.

Choose the sheet size from the loaded pallet footprint and the required overhang. A top sheet provides top coverage; it does not form an enclosed bag around the load.

Cover the top and sides of palletised goods with a shaped PE cover. This format suits operations that need a cover placed over the load, with access determined by the cover design and the way it is secured.

Measure the complete load, including any overhang or projections, before selecting the cover. An open-bottom cover is a protective covering, not a sealed moisture-barrier system or a substitute for securing the load.

Choose the Right Coverage for Your Goods

The covering material and the load-securing method should be reviewed together. Agree how the sheet or cover will stay in place during handling, and check the finished pack under the intended conditions.

Plastic Pallet Covers range from 1 Mil to 4 Mil thick. 1 Mil pallet cover bags are often used for temporary protection of items on a pallet. A 4 Mil pallet cover bag is not only a thicker plastic, for better protection, but is often a reusable pallet cover that can be used to cover and uncover palletized items repeatedly.

The primary difference between a pallet cover and a pallet tarp are three things. The three main differences are the materials used, the longevity of the cover, and the cost between a cover and a tarp.

These Plastic pallet cover bags are water-resistant like all polyethylene bags, but not waterproof. They should not be used to leave items outside overnight if you are worried about your product but can be used to bring peace of mind during quick transport.

Plastic pallet covers and pallet shrink bags are used to protect the entire pallet contents. Pallet top sheets can be used in conjunction with pallet covers or bags or by themselves. Pallet top cover sheets are often used for several purposes. One they help to separate items layered on a pallet. Let’s say you have a pallet that’s half-filled with copy paper on the bottom and boxes of ink pens on the top. If by chance one of the boxes of pens is crushed it could leak its ink down and onto the copy paper running it. Another scenario would be that the top of the pallet needs temporary protection from moisture, dust, dirt, and or grease while it’s being stored.
